I’m , 30 years old and currently live in Cologne, Germany. I recently finished my doctorate studies in Organic Chemistry at the University of Cologne. In my free time I enjoy exploring the world with my camera and created this blog to share some of my photos.
I find it especially interesting and challenging to capture objects and events in still images that one can normally not experience (because they are for example too small, too fast, or both). I started photographing seriously at the end of 2009, at which time I replaced my bridge camera, a Panasonic DMC-FZ5, with my first D-SLR, the Canon EOS 500d. Since then I have experimented with various areas of photography and acquired some additional equipment and arguably some skill.
Currently, my main photographic interest is on macro- and event-photography, both of which I find challenging in their own way.
